This number is not exclusive to anyone in particular…use it. That’s why it’s there. Don’t be afraid, ashamed, embarrassed 😳 or scared they’ll tell someone you called. They have their confidentiality guidelines but keep in mind to a certain extent. If you’re in a dire situation they may have to contact someone for your own safety. It’ll be ok. It is ok. We all might at some point feel helpless, lost, confused, lonely, like no one gives a damn but there’s always someone who does.
Last week, a student at my son’s high school took her life by suicide. She hung herself, slipped into a coma and passed away. Now I don’t know the facts on why this 14/15 year old child committed suicide. That’s why it’s always important to remember that we never know what someone’s going through in their lives. It’s important to treat everyone like you would like to be treated.
I can’t begin to imagine what this child’s parents are going through. This happened a few days before Thanksgiving 2016 😢 this can happen at any time.
My son knew her as a classmate, they weren’t friends but said she was friendly and pretty. The chair she sat in is not being used by any other student in her memory.
Please help save a life if you know someone that’s struggling. We all struggle with life, it’s not one bit easy, but not everyone can handle life’s curveballs.
